The schedule for this year’s Hockey One League has been announced today 100 days out from the opening round of the 2023 season from Friday 6th – Sunday 8th October.
Congratulations to former Hockeyroo Tracey Belbin OAM on being announced as a recipient of a HA Award of Merit, which is given for dedicated and sustained commitment to the development of hockey in Australia, and devoted and successful service to hockey and the promotion of the values which underpin the sport.
In 2023, 3 current and former Hockeyroos, over 20 past Blaze athletes, and all 4 of the Women’s Australia A squad will compete alongside Queensland’s rising stars.
Indigenous artist Kevin Edmonstone has created a beautiful collection of meticulously hand-painted hockey ball trophies, which will be given as State Championships #TeamQLD Awards across the Indoor and Outdoor competitions for 2023.
Our second Junior State Championships of the year took place up in sunny Cairns over the weekend. The Chemist Warehouse U18 Womens Championship was a huge success with over 300 young women from around the state representing their regions.
