The Kathleen Langan Sports Management Bursary

Are you studying sports management? Would $1,500 help you with your studies?
Applications are now open for the Kathleen Langan Sports Management Bursary. To be eligible you must:
- Be a female student enrolled in at least the second year of tertiary studies in a Sports Management, Business, Arts or other degree with sports management or sports event management as part of the course.
- Be currently playing an organised sport
- Demonstrate a record of participation in sport over a number of years

This bursary, sponsored by Ronda Nix OAM, is valued at $1,500.00. The bursary is named in honour of the late Kathleen Langan, who was a Life Member of Brisbane Women’s Hockey Associations, Hockey Queensland, and Hockey Australia.
Kath was an exceptional sports administrator back in the days when all such positions were voluntary. She was a wonderful role model and mentor to those following in her footsteps, including the bursary sponsor. Kath was also an internationally qualified umpire and match official who served on the International Board of Umpires.
