The Hockey Queensland Championship (HQC) Men Wrap Up 2025

The Hockey Queensland Championship (Men) has wrapped up after a fantastic three days at the State Hockey Centre in Brisbane.

It was a huge weekend of hockey, bringing some of Queensland's best athletes together to fight it out for their Associations.

Tweed met Bundaberg in the Division 2 Final, where Bundabery opened the scoring in the first quarter. But it was all Tweed’s way scoring 4 consecutive goals, and even a last minute surge from Bundaberg was too late with Tweed winning 5 – 3. Brisbane Blaze’s Kyle Jeffrey-Prestwich scored 2 of the 5 goals.

In the Division 1 Final Brisbane 1 met Toowoomba 1. At the end of the match scores were locked at 5 all. The shootout went to 6 rounds, with Lachlan Ziviani in the net for Toowoomba and Matt Finn in the net for Brisbane. In the end Finny’s experience gave Brisbane the win.
