Mirnawan Cup 2025 for Academy Athletes

The Hockey QLD Academy athletes once again returned to Malaysia for the Mirnawan Cup last month.
The HQ Academy fielded both Women’s and Men’s teams in the U17 international tournament, competing against Teams from Malaysia, South Africa, Japan, and Australia.
The Women’s team, led by Sara Rogers, finished fourth in shootouts against South Africa. The Men’s HQ Academy team finished in 6th place, led by Alex Hough.
This tournament was a truly unique experience for these players - exposing them to a high level of competition and professionalism, while providing an eye-opening look at a vastly different part of the world.
