Chemist Warehouse naming rights sponsor of the Junior State Championships

Pharmacy Giant, Chemist Warehouse has partnered with Hockey Queensland.  The three year partnership will see Chemist Warehouse not only partner Hockey Queensland, but become the naming rights partner of the Boys and Girls Junior State Championships – under 13’s, 15’s and 18’s. 

This year will see the State Championships held in regional strongholds like Mackay, Maryborough, Ipswich, the Gold Coast and Gladstone. The Chemist Warehouse Junior State Championships kicked off on Sunday 26th June with the Under 18 Girls in Brisbane and the Under 18 Boys on the Gold Coast. Regional Queensland has been a critically important talent pool for the strength of Hockey in the State.  Hockey Queensland is proud to have Chemist Warehouse support and profile hockey in a such a key and traditional development pathway. 

“The partnership with Chemist Warehouse will add a layer of profile for Hockey in Queensland, and assist keeping girls and boys playing hockey in the lead up to Brisbane 2032”,  said Hockey Queensland CEO, Alison Lyons. “We need to be doing all we can to promote the benefits and appeal of the sport, which is competing in a very strong participation landscape. We are very grateful to Chemist Warehouse and pleased to working with them to achieve continued success” 

Chemist Warehouse has been at the forefront of Sponsorship in Australia, with partnerships including the AFL, AFLW, NRL and Tennis Australia to name a few. It’s community efforts in Queensland has been pioneering and the Hockey Queensland partnership will add to its existing involvement with Bulls Masters, where Chemist Warehouse has been engaging youth in all parts of the State.
