LOCAL SPORTING CHAMPIONS FOR ATHLETES
Timeframe: within 6 months post event / once per year
Amount: Base: $500 / Rural: +$50 / travelling more than 800km: +$100
Criteria: based on HQ Strategic Plan

12 – 18 years old in year of event

Travel of more than 250 km (return) for State events

All State and National Under-Age Championships eligible

The Queensland Government is yet to release the new strategy for 2026 and it is expected additional grant opportunities will follow after the announcement

The Australian Sports Foundation funds projects designed to increase healthy activity levels and grow participation in sport. Grants are distributed to support projects that improve access to sport for a range of people and communities. There are also addition al resources available to support fundraising clubs and associations.
