LIVEHockey a landmark occasion for Australian hockey

Published Wed 16 Mar 2022

Hockey in Australia has entered a new dawn with the launch of LIVEHockey a dedicated home for LIVE streaming of national and state/territory hockey events.

The innovation is the first of its kind for sport in Australia, uniting Hockey Australia and all eight state/territory Member Associations by bringing select hockey tournaments and competitions into one centralised LIVE streaming hub.

The new LIVEHockey platform will take browsers to a centralised home page where they can see what is currently LIVE, view upcoming matches and go to each Member Association channel for their respective content.

LIVEHockey will host LIVE streaming of the following Hockey Australia events:
- Australian Under 18 Championships (6-14 April)

- Australian Under 15 Championships (7-13 April)

- Australian Under 21 Championships (20-27 July)

- Australian Country Championships (6-13 August)

- Australian Under 13 Carnival (28 Sep - 4 Oct)

- Australian Womens Masters Championships (21 Sep - 1 Oct)

- Australian Mens Masters Championships (24 Sep - 8 Oct)

LIVEHockey will comprise a combination of free-to-view content and affordable paid subscription content (a variety of subscription options will be available and any hockey member who purchases an Annual subscription will receive a 10% discount).

Hockey Queensland

Hockey Queensland is proud to be an early adopter and driver of this exciting live streaming revolution for hockey.

Alison Lyons, Hockey Queensland CEO: Hockey QLD tested live streaming of our Championships last year and were so encouraged by the response that we wanted to invest in a platform where we could deliver professionally produced content on an easy to use platform. Best of all, through Cluch members can be confident that part of their LIVEHockey subscription is reinvested back into hockey.”

Hockey Queensland will be live streaming all of our State Championships (including Masters), Indoor State Championships and Big Hockey Hit Out over the 2022 year.

The first events to be live streamed are the Men’s Masters State Championship (34, 50+) and the Hockey Queensland Championship (HQC) from the 29th and 30th April 2022 respectively.

More information on the live streaming of Hockey Queensland events will be available soon.
