SCORCHERS FINISH FOURTH BUT FOUR EARN HOCKEYROOS SELECTION

The OAMPS Queensland Scorchers finished in fourth place in the 2011 AHL.

The Scorchers were denied a position in final after a heartbreaking 1-0 defeat to NSW on Friday night. The Scorchers were narrowly defeated 4-3 by WA in a hard fought semi-final.  

The OAMPS South Suns won the AHL final for the first time since 1995, defeating NSW.

Although fourth place is disappointing for the girls who trained tirelessly in the pre-season, the team can now help celebrate the achievements of the Scorchers who have earned national selection:
