QLD Under 18 Women defeat TAS 5-0

Queensland’s Under 18 Women’s hockey team have recorded a convincing 5-0 victory over Tasmania at the State Hockey Centre this morning.

Queensland captain Kazzia Lammon initiated her team’s scoring spree early in the match with a field goal in the 6th minute. Ashleigh Mackay and Murphy Allendorf also scored in the first half to put the home side in front 3-0 at half time.

Ashleigh Mackay scored again for Queensland in the 60th minute with another field goal and Tamara Llloyd-Jones scored from a penalty corner ten minutes later to seal yet another Queensland victory.

Queensland will next play tomorrow against South Australia at 1pm. Leading into today’s play Queensland were ranked third and South Australia were ranked sixth on the championship ladder respectively.

Following the completion of tomorrow’s matches, the states to contest the various classification and finals matches on Friday and Saturday will be determined.
