QLD U21M FINISH THIRD WHILE QLD U21W CONTINUE TOP FORM

U21 MEN '011 final The Queensland Under 21 Men's Team finished strongly in third place at the 2011 Australian Under 21 Men's Championship in Perth over the weekend.

Queensland defeated SA 4-3 in the playoff for third and fourth place, after a disappointing 5-4 defeat to WA which denied our team a spot in the grand final.

WA went onto win the championship on home soil, defeating NSW 2-1.

The sportsmanship of the Queensland team was recognised with them taking out the Play the Whistle award.

Meanwhile, action at the 2011 Australian Under 21 Women's Championship in Canberra continues. The competition will wrap-up this Saturday.

Today, Monday 18 July, is a rest day of the tournament and no doubt the Queensland girls are resting easy with three wins from four matches played so far.
