Qld broke through at the 25th minute mark after a great build up finished with a deflection from the penalty spot by Matthew Gohdes

The second half was a similar story however it was the Queenslanders that dominated most of the attack and had several chances to go further ahead. However a couple of brilliant saves by WA keeper Tristian Clemons kept the Thundersticks in the game. QLD were rewarded again at the 64th minute with a fantastic goal which started from their short corner defence. 3 pass’s later QLD were in the circle and Craig Smith tapped in the goal. Smith scored his second and sealed the game at the 68 minute mark.

WA’s Grant Schubert got one back in the final minute from a short corner but the game was all over.

The Blades finally scored after the half time siren had gone with a drag flick low and wide perfectly executed by Tim Bates.

The second half saw a very even contest with both sides pressing and defending well. Travis Carroll had a couple of opportunities as the Stingers started to control the tempo of the match.
