Ronda Nix honoured at QLD Sport Awards

Congratulations to Ronda Nix who was honoured with a Service to Sport Award at the 2011 Queensland Sport Awards.

Ronda Nix has provided decades of service to hockey in Queensland. Her passion and support of the sport grew from her early playing days in the late 1950s and continues today.

Among Ronda's many notable achievements was being instrumental in the opening of the State Hockey Centre in 1996, which remains to be the home and heart of hockey in Queensland.

Congratulations Ronda! Hockey Queensland look forward to honouring more of hockey's best at the 2011 Hockey Queensland Awards Dinner this Saturday night in Brisbane.
