Hockey QLD assists in Oceania
Hockey Queensland referee Bernadette Pangrazio recently travelled to Fiji to officiate at The Oceania Pacific Cup which was played there earlier this month.
The Oceania Pacific Cup included teams from Papua New Guinea (PNG), Samoa, Vanuatu, NZ Maori, Australia Country U/21 and the host nation Fiji.
In the lead up to the tournament Hockey Queensland Coach & Player Development Manager Barry Vohland had been working with the PNG teams in their preparation for this event.
This included running training camps at the State Hockey Centre and travelling to the tournament in Fiji with the PNG teams.
Both of these initiatives are part of Hockey Queensland’s commitment to assisting hockey to grow as a sport in the Oceania Region.
