Hockey Australia Inducts Queenslander Pamela Glossop into Hall of Fame

Pamela Glossop was born on the 22nd September 1954 in Sydney, New South Wales. Pam represented and captained Queensland in 1972, 1974-1983.

Pam was a member of the Women’s National Team in 1975-1984 and captained the Australian team in 1982-83. A highlight of her sporting career came when she was vice-captain of the Women’s team in 1984 when the team travelled to Los Angeles for the 1984 Olympic Games. The Australian team finished fourth, losing in penalty strokes to the USA in the bronze medal play-off match.

In addition to the competing at the Olympic Games, Pam represented Australia at the 1981 (Vice Captain) and 1983 (Captain) World Cups and IFWHA in 1975, 1978 (VC) and 1979 (VC).
At a national level her awards include being inducted into the Queensland Hockey Hall of Fame in 2002 and inducted into the Queensland Sport Hall of Fame in 2010.
