Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS)
Hockey in Queensland recieves great support from the Queensland Government directly via yearly grants and indirectly via financial, scientific, social and medical support by the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS). The QAS program is designed for males and females to support current potential elite athletes and coaches to improve their competitiveness at an international level.
The QAS program aims to:
- Maintain or increase the number and standard of Queensland hockey players in National teams/squads
- Work with Hockey Queenslands' affliated Associations and Regional Coaching Directors to implement and develop talent identification programs.
