HQ Development Pathway
The new “Hockey Queensland Development Pathway” creates an exciting new working relationship with the Queensland Academy of Sport. This relationship and new structure provides all players throughout Queensland with a clear and transparent “Whole of State” pathway through an integrated programme. The enclosed documents explain this in more detail, as well as listing the players who are currently tiered.

U13 & U15 Development Tour - Grafton 2009.JPG
The Development Tour was introduced after evaluation of the Development Camps previously run by Hockey Queensland. Hockey Queensland identified that the younger age groups needed further support with development opportunities and the Development Tour was introduced. The Tour is for those players that are selected as shadows for the U13 & U15 Queensland Teams, or Talent Idenitified at State Championships for the same age groups. Similar to the Development Camps, the Development Tour provides an opportunity for these players to experience games and training with coaches of a higher level than what they are use too, together with being in an environment away from home; similar to being in a State Team. The aim is to encourage these players to continue to strive and be involved with hockey and provide them with further skills and abilities that will assist in supporting them with their progression.
