About Tweed Border Hockey Association (TBHA):
During 2007 TBHA was able to develop a three year strategic plan, create new operational committees and replace their artificial water based turf without any Federal or State Grant assistance (as they are affiliated with the State of Queensland they can't get NSW grants and because they are located in NSW they can't get Queensland grants!).
The above achievements were recognised by Hockey Queensland, when they were honoured with the 2007 Hockey Queensland Association of the Year award.
2008 has seen the appointment of their first full time Regional Coaching Director who will look after and introduce a number of new programmes to the eighth largest association in Queensland.
