About Brisbane Women’s Hockey Association (BWHA):

Established in 1933, BWHA have called Downey Park home since 1959.  A large clubhouse was built in 1983 which is available for function hire.  Downey Park is a shared facility with softball using the fields from October to March each year and hockey from April to September.  

BWHA runs a canteen, hockey shop and first aid facilities at all hockey competitions held at the Park.

BWHA also holds the lease for Rasey Park, Butterfield Street, Herston (incorporating a small clubhouse and canteen facility) and utilises the grass and turf facilities of the State Hockey Centre.
