History
The Queensland Secondary School Boys Hockey Association was formalised by Howard Haddrell and Kevin Dennis in 1977. QSSBH conduct State Championships where a 16 and under Queensland Team is selected to play in the National Championships.
An Open Team is also selected and competes on a tour in New Zealand involving an Under 16 Tigerturf Team which is their National development team.
Description
QSSBH is part of the Queensland School Sports Association and they represent all registered Queensland Secondary Schools for boys hockey. The QSSBH also co-ordinates the Hockey Queensland Schools Cup for Secondary Schools, a knock out competition for boys involving over 60 schools.
