HQ Tax Deductible Donations
Make a tax deductible donation to the Australian Sports Foundation in support of Hockey Queensland Inc - Hec Cormie Scholarship; State Hockey Centre Facility Development or Remote and Indigenous Hockey Development Program 2006.
HEC CORMIE SCHOLARSHIP
Over the last six years Hockey Queensland has been able to provide each year one male and one female a three year scholarship totalling $3750 per player. These scholarships have been made possible by the Hec Cormie Scholarship Trust - a Trust set up by the Cormie family seven years ago. Click here for more details regarding the Scholarship.
Seven of the Scholarship recipients were selected in the Olympic squads for the Athens Games - testament to the value of this investment in hockey talent in Queensland.
Hockey Queensland has registered the Hec Cormie Scholarship Fund as a project with the Australian Sports Foundation Ltd (ASF) enabling Hockey Queensland to seek tax deductible donations to support the fund.

STATE HOCKEY CENTRE FACILITY DEVELOPMENT
In an attempt to increase the quality of Queensland's elite hockey facility - the State Hockey Centre, Hockey Queensland has registered this as a fundraising project with the Australian Sports Foundation to aid in the centre's future development.
The funds generated would be utilised to build a facility that would incorporate however, not exclusively:
* Machinery storage area
* Function meeting room, including an area for memorabilia
* Uniform storage area

REMOTE & INDIGENOUS HOCKEY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM 2006
In order to increase the exposure of hockey throughout Queensland, Hockey Queensland has employed a small team to head the Remote and Indigenous Hockey Development Program. This team will be responsible for the promotion and development of Hockey in Far North Queensland.
Grants received from the Australian Sports Foundation will be used to provide equipment, assist with travelling expenses associated with remote competition, training programs in the remote communities and possibly scholarships for talent identified athletes.
